The investment seeks investment results that correspond closely to the performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 index. The fund invests at least 90% of assets in S&P 500 index securities. The index measures the performance of the large-capitalization sector of the U.S. equity market. As of May 31, 2010, the index included approximately 75% of the market capitalization of all publicly-traded U.S. equity securities.
